Group Therapies for Young People
(Group sessions commence at the beginning of each school term) 

Mindscape Psychologists are trained in developing and facilitating group therapies for adolescents and young people on topics including: 

  • Study Skills for Senior Students (Year 10, 11 and 12)
  • Anxiety and Depression Management – 6 sessions
  • Self esteem and Body Image – 6 sessions
  • Bullying and Cyber bullying – 6 sessions
  • Interpersonal Effectiveness – 4 sessions
  • Emotion Regulation - 4 sessions
  • Distress Tolerance - 4 sessions
  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy Skills – Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation and Interpersonal Effectiveness - 12 sessions

Please note: An assessment for entry into our DBT Skills group program is required and will be conducted by one of our Mindscape Psychologists’. An assessment is required to assess your suitability, readiness and commitment to completing the program.

Telephone Counselling and Skype Counselling

If you are unable to attend a session in person at our practice or if you would prefer Telephone counselling/ Skype sessions please speak to us about how we can accommodate you.

 

Group COUNSELLING FOR ADULTS

Mindscape Psychologists are trained in developing and facilitating group therapies for adults.

  • Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (Adults) - (8 sessions)
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy - (8 sessions)
  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy Skills: Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation and Interpersonal Effectiveness - (12 sessions)

Forensic and Functional Assessments and Reports

  • Accessing services from the Department of Human Services: Aging, Disability, and Home Care (ADHC) or a similar non-government organisation through the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA)
  • Determining capacity and completing referrals to the NSW Public Guardian
  • Determining eligibility for deferment of alleged offences under section 32 of the Mental Health (Forensic Provisions) Act 1990 (NSW)
