Lauren Hobson
Lauren is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker with over 15 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families across diverse mental health and wellbeing needs. She has particular passion and experience working with adolescents and parenting needs, understanding the unique challenges families face during these critical developmental stages. Lauren has worked extensively with clients from CALD backgrounds, First Nations peoples, and families, bringing cultural sensitivity and respect to her practice.
Drawing on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, and other evidence-based modalities, Lauren tailors her approach to meet each client where they are. She is person-centred and collaborative, working alongside clients to build on their strengths and achieve meaningful change.
Lauren has supported clients experiencing trauma, anxiety and depression, workplace stress, school-related pressures, self-esteem concerns, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and LGBTQI+ issues. She is passionate about enabling people to develop the skills and confidence needed to become their own best advocates, empowering them to navigate life's challenges with resilience and self-compassion.
Outside of work, Lauren enjoys watching the latest streaming movies and TV shows, getting away on holidays, and spending quality time with her children and family—finding balance and joy in the connections that matter most.
