Nick Preddey is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker with experience supporting adolescents, adults, families, and carers across a broad range of mental health and wellbeing needs. He has worked in both therapeutic and case work roles within youth, family, and adult mental health services, bringing a flexible and client-focused approach to his practice.

Drawing on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and other evidence-based modalities, Nick tailors his approach to suit each individual. Nick is person-centred and collaborative, working alongside clients to identify their goals, explore challenges, and build on their strengths.

Nick has supported clients experiencing anxiety and depression, workplace stress, school-related pressures, low self-esteem, LGBTQI+ support, and more. He is passionate about helping people develop the skills, confidence, and self-compassion needed to navigate life’s challenges. His focus is on empowering clients to become their own best advocate and to recognise the value they bring to their lives and relationships.

Nick’s professional interests include fostering self-esteem and confidence, helping clients reconnect with their strengths, and equipping them with practical strategies for resilience. Nick’s approach blends warmth, curiosity, and practical problem-solving, ensuring clients feel supported and understood while working toward meaningful change.

Outside of work, Nick is a creative person who enjoys playing the viola and exploring different genres of music. He is an enthusiastic traveller who finds inspiration in new places and cultures. At home, he enjoys time with his dog, Louis, whose playful nature brings joy to his everyday life.
